The Churchill War Ministry was a Conservative led coalition government which lasted for most of World War II. It was led by Winston Churchill, as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Formed in 1940, within a year of the war's outbreak, it was ended just after the war was won in 1945, resulting in a general election in which Labour, led by Clement Attlee, won by a landslide.
